An event for ALL staff to hear from inspiring speakers and celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

This is a free event open to ALL staff (yes, men too!), sponsored by Murdoch's Athena SWAN initiative. Join us in the tranquil surrounds of the Summer Courtyard from 10am to hear from the following speakers:

  • Dr. Wafa El-Adami, Executive Director, SAGE Athena SWAN
  • Barbara Kachigunda, Fullbright Futures Scholarship recipient
  • Professor Catherine Itsiopolous, Pro-Vice Chancellor College of SHEE
  • Jackie Taylor and Aman Alagh, College Business Managers (SHEE and ABLSS)

From midday, enjoy a light lunch and networking opportunity over a backdrop of flute, violin and cello.

This popular event tends to appeal to mainly women, which is understandable. But let’s be clear. Gender equity, diversity and inclusion is EVERYONE’S business. To encourage more gender diversity in the audience this year, lucky door prize raffle tickets will be available for any staff member attending with a colleague of a different gender (one per person).

Registrations are essential and seats are limited. Book early!

Staff wishing to learn more specific details about Murdoch's Bronze Athena SWAN application should also consider coming to a 'Key Insights' presentation on Wednesday 11 March.

As this event will be photographed and filmed, please alert the photographer and videographer if you do not wish to be captured in images.
