disAbility Living is looking for a dedicated Volunteer Mentors from all over Adelaide. The Mentor Program matches a child/ young person with an intellectual disability with a volunteer on a one-on-one basis to assist in accessing the community, building friendships and social skills and increasing community participation.
No previous experience is required for this role and our current mentor team come from a wide range of professional backgrounds. Volunteers are matched with participants local to them.
Students and those aiming to gain experience in Psychology, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Teaching, Occupational Therapy and Special Education Studies are encouraged to attend as the program allows individuals to gain first hand experience whilst remaining flexible around their studies.
