Artist statement:
This is a tribute to all the media I absorbed growing up, from toys I played with, to VHS cartoons I wore out from re-watching too many times. Two major influences that carry through my work is Pin up Art (early on she took the form of a Barbie doll) and skeletons (thanks to a 1920s Mickey Mouse short I owned as a child). As I kept repeating and paring these images, the two never lost interest to me.
Artist Bio:
Lindsay Rae Baker is a Binghamton native who has wanted to share her artwork with the world since she was little. She enjoys coffee and thinking too much about cartoons when she isn't painting. Her goal is to create and display as much artwork as possible, and inspire everyone else to do the same.
