Abbotsford Family and Friends Support Group

The Abbotsford Family and Friends Group is for family members, partners and friends concerned about a loved one with an eating disorder. It is a place where family members and friends (18+) come together in a confidential and supportive environment.

The groups provide an opportunity for people to share their stories, learn coping strategies and benefit from the support of other families in similar situations. Coming to a Support Group allows you to have some time to yourself and gives you the opportunity to openly talk about what is going on. Being among a group of people who can relate to your situation can ease the stress and isolation of supporting someone with an eating disorder. It can be a good way to care for yourself and ensure you are looking after your own mental health.
