As funding for social enterprises and NFPs become more difficult to attract, practitioners need to understand how to measure and communicate their impact.  This event is for practitioners who want to start the impact management journey and do not know where to start and for funders who are looking to support the achivement of outcomes. These books provide accessible language and straightforward exercises, in manageable 'chunks'.

Recently developed by the Asia-Pacific Social Impact Centre (APSIC) and SoPact, the Actionable Impact Management Framework for Social Impact Measurement is series of free ebooks to guide practitioners and funders across the social impact journey over four straight forward steps:

  1. Groundwork
  2. Metrics
  3. Data
  4. Communicate

If you are a social impact practitioner, student or consultant wanting to get on the impact management journey but do not know where to start, this ebook series is a practical guide. The session is also useful for funders who want to understand the issues facing the sector and seek ways to partner with for-purpose organisations so that practitioners are supported in this journey.

Join APSIC and SIMNA for this special book launch event, hear from the authors of the framework and join us for a panel discussion and networking drinks.

About ASPIC

The Asia-Pacific Social Impact Centre is the University of Melbourne's hub for social impact initiatives. We seek innovative solutions to society's intractable problems through cross-sectoral collaborations - only by pooling our expertise and insights can we create innovations which lead to lasting change.

Jodi York is a sociologist with a diverse interdisciplinary research history and a passion for driving and informing social change with measurable impact. She has published qualitative and quantitative research in sociology, economics, accounting and management, and has worked in business, academic, government and civil society settings in the US and across Australasia. Her current focus is helping businesses, non-profits, investors and philanthropists to tackle entrenched social problems and deliver greater impact--how to fund it, how to create it, how to measure & report it, how to leverage networks to multiply it.

Since joining APSIC in 2012, Jodi has worked with mission- driven organisations around the globe to better understand key success factors in their organisational cultures, business models, impact communications and strategies.

Krzysztof Dembek is an experienced researcher, manager, consultant and teacher with the core expertise in using business models for social impact and complex problem solving, and in social impact evaluation.
