Review of the vocational training and education qualifications and units for animal behaviour and training and animal-assisted services.
Skills Impact is a not-for-profit, industry-owned organisation that works across Australia to benchmark learning and skills standards for industry. This workshop is for individuals who are currently working in the workplaces that provide for animal behaviour and training and animal-assisted services (including visitation animal and assistance animal handlers), and for Registered Training Organisations who currently deliver training for workers in this sector.
The drafts of the new Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour and Training, Animal-Assisted Services Skill Set and related units will be presented for participants to provide their feedback.
This is an opportunity for individuals who have experience and knowledge of roles in these sectors to influence vocational training (qualifications and units of competency) for the next generation of workers.
Note: This workshop is NOT a training opportunity for people wanting to enter the animal training industry.
