WHO IS THE MASTERCLASS FOR?
Primarily for Christians currently doing Higher Degree Research into Christian education related topics, or who are seriously considering it. It is a day best spent if you have a reasonably formed research topic. Delegates last year came from a combination of six different Australian universities and colleges, so it doesn’t matter with whom you are studying - just that you are researching a feature of Christian Education.
WHAT WILL THE DAY INVOLVE?
A chance to workshop your MPhil or PhD topic, method and other elements, with a group of other HDR students on a similar journey, and with expert tutors. With Professor Smith as the ‘Master Tutor’, several other ‘tutors’ – all with established reputations in Christian Education and PhDs in Education- will work alongside delegates in groups, across a range of rolling topics and modes of exchange.
WHAT SHOULD DELEGATES EXPECT?
The HDR journey can be a lonely one! The day forms enduring connections between like-minded Christians. Delegates can also expect to have their topics and projects seriously taken apart by a group of ‘friendlies’.
