COURSE A - TRUSTEE ROLES AND GOVERNANCE IN BME LED ORGANISATIONS.
Locally provided 6 Zoom online short course units covering a basic
introduction to key areas of the management of Voluntary groups and
charities covering aspects of Trustee responsibilities and effective
charity management .
These sessions are open to anyone from a BME community who is a
trustee or committee member of a voluntary group or charity , is
interested in becoming one or anyone who is a trustee or committee
member of a BME organisation.
Sessions will be delivered by a variety of trainers from SVS and other
Councils of Voluntary Service colleagues. Each course will cover the
following modules although the order may vary for each course.
* Roles and responsibilities of charity trustees and committee
members
* Basic financial management for trustees
* Data Protection and Digital awareness for trustees
* Basic safeguarding awareness
* Staff or Volunteer management
* Problem solving / addressing your key issues
The 3 courses A/B/C will run by Zoom. You will be invited to join a
Zoom meeting for the following dates :

* 8TH FEB BASIC FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (NOT 15TH -HALF TERM)
* 22ND FEB - BASIC SAFEGUARDING AWARENESS
* 1ST MARCH - DATA AND DIGITAL FOR TRUSTEES
* 8TH MARCH - INVOLVING VOLUNTEERS / OR STAFF MANAGEMENT
* 15TH MARCH - PROBLEM SOLVING Q&A SESSION
