The Antonix are a lively Jazz Funk band, who deliver an exciting and infectious experience while on stage, to their audiences.
The band is in the process of finalizing their debut album, ‘Tranquil Midnights’ which is scheduled to be released in March 2019. The band comprises of Antony Visser leading on trombone, David Cox on Saxophone, Dylan Reavey on Guitar, Eden Armstrong on Keys, Jeremy Ellis on Bass and Callum Kennedy on drums. Each band member is either a current student or graduand of the Qld Concervatorium of Music, Griffith University and have all individually been working as professional
musicians for a number of years.
The program tonight consists of a selection of contrasting covers, as well as originals. Influences include artists such as Swedish trombonist Nils Landgren, Trombone Shorty, the band Snarky Puppy, as well as Roy Hargrove and Fred Wesley also from the States.
Doors open at 6.30pm. Show starts at 8.00pm.
