Join us for a relaxing and energising Ashtanga Flow practice facing the Swan River in the beautiful, Sir James Mitchell Park overlooking Perth City. Nicole Iovine ('Lamb') (RYT 500) will be leading participants through the Ashtanga Primary Series out in the fresh air.
Learn this popularized, vinyasa sequence of asanas and receive guidance using core muscular and energetic locks, drishti (focused-gaze), correct alignment, breath-work and a deep commitment to self-love. Here you can meet uncomfortable sensations and learn to sit beside them in an accepting level of awareness, with less and less resistance the more you practice. (This is what yoga is ultimately training your mind to do).
Our Sunday morning Ashtanga classes are the most dynamic and popular classes we offer, with people from all ages and backgrounds coming out to join the rest of the community, walking and doing yoga on a Sunday morning down by the river. This class is family friendly and open to kids for those of you with children aged 7-17 years old.
There's no pressure to perform and no medals for forcing yourself beyond what is comfortable.
We facilitate a safe space, mutual respect, diversity, inclusion and the traditional teachings of Pathanjali's, in it's modern forms of Hatha, Raja and Ashtanga based Yoga, popularised by Krishnamacharya.
Whatever your level is just come and breath to create new space in the body and use posture to stablize in that new space.
See you there ☺
