About this Event Welcome to the 7th Annual joint AfterWork Social Club & Sydney Social Kayaking Meetup Australia Day Event in combination with many other Meetup groups. Put your feet up, sit back, relax and crack open a cold drink while we take care of the cooking for you! Sausage Sizzle BBQ Lunch, Bottled Water, Lamingtons, Sweets, Kayaking & Paddle Boarding all included at Narrabeen Lake. Amazingly popular with over 140 people joining big Oz Day Event last year. Grab your friends for the ultimate recreational day out! Water Sports perfect for today. Make it comfortable, how? Bring a rug, cushions / low-rise chair, sunscreen, change of clothes & Aussie Memorabilia. Prize for best Aussie Look! BBQ & Kayaking & Paddle Boards! This location is ideal for swimming so bring change of clothes. Beginners welcome with our kayaking enthusiast will be available to show you how he does it. We have David C and David G cooking our lunch. BYO: alcohol or soft drinks. We will have bottles of chilled water for you all day. The Venue: Narrabeen Lake, Jamieson Park, off Pittwater Road at Mactier St if driving - joins to The Esplanade - then into Jamieson Park area. Go to the Cafe on the south side of the main building in the park to find us. Transport: Buses leave from Carrington St (B-LINE) Wynyard (Stand B) every 15 minutes. Disembark at Narrabeen. 15 minutes walk along the edge of lake to Jamieson Park Paddle, the Kayak Shop. Parking: Very limited metered parking available in the car park at Jamieson Park.
