Event Overview
Under the current contractors registration system in Hong Kong, a contractor carrying out any building or street works must be registered with the Buildings Department either as a general building contractor, specialist contractor and/or minor works contractor.
Under the Buildings Ordinance (BO), a Registered General Building Contractor (RGBC) or a Registered Specialist Contractor (RSC) should provide continuous supervision for carrying out building or street works in accordance with the Safety Supervision Plan. Every Registered Contractor (RC) must appoint authorized representatives to act for the purposes of the BO, and the appointed representative is commonly known as the “Authorized Signatory” (AS).

Being a Chartered Surveyor, a Registered Inspector, a Registered Construction Manager, a Registered Professional Surveyor and Engineer, is a multi-disciplinary professional with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and property development sector in Hong Kong, China and Singapore. He has all-rounded experience specializing in project and construction management, engineering and surveying as well as property development in respect of residential, office and commercial premises.
He is currently the Director of Kim Hung Construction & Engineering Co., Ltd. responsible for overseeing the construction operation and property development of the company. Over the years, he has been actively serving the community and construction industry by participating in different boards, committees and panels regarding sustainable construction industry of Hong Kong.
He is also an AS of a RGBC and a veteran CRC panel member for a total of 8 years during the period from 2004 to 2014.
