AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification Bootcamp - Adelaide

THIS IS A 8 HOUR INTENSIVE BOOTCAMP - PLEASE ENSURE YOU EXECUTE ALL THE PRE-REQUISITES TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THIS TRAINING SESSION.

MORNING TEA, LUNCH AND AFTERNOON TEA WILL BE PROVIDED, AS YOU WILL NOT HAVE TIME TO DO ANYTHING BUT THE COURSE WORK SO PLEASE ENSURE YOU CAN COMMIT TO THE ENTIRE DAY AND TO SIT FOR THE EXAM SHORTLY AFTER THE TRAINING COURSE.

The Goals

Get you ready to take the AWS Solutions Architect Certifcation Exam.

The aim of the bootcamp will be to ensure participants understand the KEY services, including gaining hands on experience in building solutions.

Following the completion of the bootcamp participants will have to continue studying and preparing for their exam, but will be well equipped and on the right track to succeed.

The Curricullum

It's a one day, instructor led bootcamp that is run by AWS Solutions Architects. You will be required to learn the theory, then execute the knowledge via the AWS GUI and API.

The iterative format is:

• 15 min presentation
• 45 min lab
• 15 min break

• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)
• Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
• Simple Storage Service (S3)
• Design for High Availability
• CloudWatch & CloudTrail

Labs conducted:

• IAM
• EC2
• S3
• Monitoring
• VPC

Pre-Requisites

Please ensure you have done the following before training day:

• Study the AWS Cloud Practitioner curriculum available FREE to Optus - here. Note: you can join the AWS Partner Network with your optus.com.au login.
• Create an AWS account - here. Note: you will require your credit card, but will not likely be charged any more than a few dollars for some service creation. At the endof the training you can terminate account or leave it open, we will show you how to monitor and automate billing notifications.

You should know the following concepts:

• Well architected framework
• AWS account creation
• Basic networking knowledge: Subnetting, IP addressing, DNS
• Basic security understanding: ACL, AAA
• Basic linux skills

You should have read the following AWS Whitepapers:

The Exam

The exam is 60 questions in 130 minutes, giving you about 2 minutes per question - you will need it.
