Basic Photo Course - February

You have just bought your digital camera (or are thinking of getting your hands on one) and you wish to know its capabilities instead of just using the A (automatic) mode all the time. Start making your own decisions instead of letting your camera decide. This is a fun, inspirational and visual course with lots of examples and individual guidance from an experienced tutor. By the end of this workshop you will have the knowledge you need to turn an average photo into a striking one.

You will learn about the capabilities of your camera (what do the wheels and buttons do), how does the camera work, different lenses, what is ISO, Aperture - how to freeze action with fast shutter speeds and throw distracting backgrounds out of focus by setting apertures. Discover how to improve your photos by taking creative control of their composition. White Balance and what effects you can achieve with different techniques. You will also learn about composition, perspectives and angles that could make your photographs look more intriguing.
