Attendees will learn how to make hands on European style country sourdough breads from scratch, both using machine and hand mixing to mix the dough. The instructor will also guide you how to maintain the sourdough starter, aside from in-depth explanations on the basic foundation and steps in sourdough breadmaking. We only use organic flours to teach all our bread classes.

Date & time: April 21, 2019 (Sunday), 9 am to 5 pm
Workshop fee: RM500/person (including refreshments, lunch and a starter kit so that you can start making your sourdough bread right away!)

The workshop is suitable for people who:
* have no prior or little experience in sourdough breadmaking and are interested to make healthier breads using natural long fermentation methods and organic flours
The fully hands-on workshop will cover areas and issues related to European country-style sourdough bread making, such as:
*basic theories and terminologies in sourdough breadmaking
*how to start and maintain your own sourdough starter (which we use in place of commercial yeast to bake breads)
*mixing and kneading sourdough doughs with hands and machine
*shaping, proofing and scoring sourdough bread doughs
*baking sourdough breads in the oven using different techniques, to create crispy crust and moist airy chewy crumb

Note on cancellation: Any cancellation MUST be made at least 7 days in advance (refund of 50%), if cancellation is made less than 7 days the payment will be forfeited but you can ask your friends or family to attend on your behalf. A full refund is only possible if the cancellation is made at least 14 days in advance or if you manage to find a replacement to pay the fee in full.
