Sixteen artists strong, the Bollywood Masala Orchestra and Dancers take us on a lively musical journey from Rajasthan to Mumbai, in a colorful celebration of traditional and contemporary Indian music and dance. The repertoire is truly eclectic, from the electrifying rhythms of brass-band music to the lush melodies of classical instrumental music. The musicians play a mix of Indian and Western instruments such as bass and side drums, trombone, tabla, dholak, harmonium, and clarinet, accompanying singers and dancers in traditional Rajasthani songs, court dances, acrobatic routines, and, of course, the irresistible scores of Bollywood film soundtracks.
