The Australia Indonesia Youth Association - AIYA NSW is proud to present Doing Business in Indonesia 2019!

With a GDP of over $1 trillion and 260 million people, Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia and the world's 16th largest economy. By some estimates, Indonesia will become the world's seventh-largest economy by 2030. The rapidly expanding Indonesian middle class means growing demand in a range of industries, including consumer goods, healthcare, education, information and communications technology (ICT), transport, construction, tourism and manufacturing.

The signing of the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement in March 2019 marks a new chapter in the Australia-Indonesia relationship. With Indonesia having steadily improved its ranking in the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business survey under the Jokowi administration, there are many opportunities for foreign investors to engage with the local market.

Join us on Thursday 22 August 2019 as we discuss the challenges and opportunities of Doing Business in Indonesia with our distinguished panel of speakers:

Nick Alexander, Deputy Chair, Australia-Indonesia Business Council NSW

Christopher Kristian, Manager, Markets, Deals Tax & Legal, KPMG

Henry Rombe, Director, Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC) Sydney

Ayu Siti Maryam, Director, Indonesia Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) Sydney

Dr Russell Toth, Senior Lecturer, School of Economics, University of Sydney
