Cape Byron Distillery and Rainforest Tour (September - October 2019)

Brookie’s Byron Gin is produced at Cape Byron Distillery in the hinterland of Byron Bay.

We are only open for tours by appointment, so your experience is more personal. The distillery is set in the heart of the Brook family's macadamia farm surrounded by subtropical rainforest.

On arrival, you will be welcomed to the cellar door with a refreshing Brookie's Gin & Tonic. A guided tour through the subtropical rainforest is a magical experience; to smell, see and touch the botanicals that are used in the gin, learn the history of the Big Scrub Rainforest and fall in love with this special place. Once back in the distillery you will be lead through an in-depth tasting of our products… and no doubt a few special surprises! Enjoy a fun sensory experience guided by our cellar door team.

To finish, relax on the deck with a seasonally crafted cocktail overlooking Brookfarm, watch the birds and enjoy the view.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Minimum age is 18+ years required for tastings. 

Children under 18 welcome if accompanied by an adult. 

We don't charge for children under 18 years.

How long are the tours?

The tours will run for approximately 2 hours.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We have ample parking. Access is down a long farm driveway through a beautiful eucalypt forest, turn left at our farm shed and park in the parking areas. There is room for a small 20 seaters bus to turn around.

You can also order an Uber or taxi from 'Go Byron'. 

Do we have to join the full two hour tour? Can we just visit the cellar door?

We have the option for guests to visit the disitllery  and join us for a tasting of our products without attending the whole tour. We kindly ask that you call ahead of your arrival to confirm with our cellar door team of your visit. we have tasting flights of our products avaialble. 

Can we purchase food?

The cellar door doesn't have any food options on-site but there are plenty of choices within a 5 minute drive. We highly recommend 'Three Blue Ducks' at 'The Farm', 'Barrio' & 'Harvest'.
