Course Code N/A Entry Requirements 16 + years with school exit form or 17+ years Course Description: An introductory course which will give you a taste of the carpentry trade. In the course you will learn: Carpentry basics – tools & measurements Basic OHS standards for the worksite & in a workshop What to expect from a trade course Hear stories from those already in the trade Financial benefits of becoming a carpenter — What’s in it for me? $ Pathway: Cert II in Building and Construction Pre-apprenticeship Cert III in Carpentry Location Merrilands Community Centre Mode of Study Classroom training, practical experience working in a workshop plus off-site tasks/research/excursions Days Tuesday Time 9:30am-2:30pm Dates 18 February—5 May, 2020 ( no classes on school or public holidays ) Duration 1 day per week—10 sessions Cost Concession: $50 Full: $54 Fee For Service: $509 + Service & Amenities Fee Enrolment At PRACE Office Contact Tea & coffee provided.
