Celtic Connection is the traditional Celtic music festival that draws all musicians with Celtic roots to Glasgow for the annual winter folk music festival. Over two thousand artists will play music at the festival. Celtic Connections also features lots of events, particularly the so-called "leidhs" which are actually social events that feature Irish and Scottish folk music, traditional dancing, singing, and storytelling. Glasgow usually hosts the festivities during the second half of January.
