Mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems (such as heating, air conditioning, power, lighting, water, fire protection, elevators, communication and security systems) bring a building to life, enable businesses to function and allow people to conduct their lives on a daily basis.
In addition to accounting for over 30% of the construction cost of a property, MEP systems have a profound impact on different aspects of building performance such as end-user satisfaction, environmental impact, maintenance and utilities cost, and business continuity. In the modern built environment, the correct delivery of these MEP systems is therefore absolutely crucial.
