This workshop is designed for community development professionals and community leaders who are seeking to capture and embed the views of children and young people into their work.
Why and how do we engage children in co-designing services, public spaces or community experiences?
How do we deal with barriers and challenges such as behaviour, disengagement and consent?
What are our child protection responsibilities?
What about young children, children with disabilities or children who do not wish to participate?
How do we make their ideas meaningful and relevant in our evaluation and planning?
This workshop will guide participants through a framework for designing their own child-inclusive engagement strategy, including addressing key responsibilities, barriers and challenges.
