Set in West Berlin during the Cold War, One, Two, Three illustrates the tale of high-ranking Coca-Cola executive C.R. MacNamara. He has his eye set on a promotion, for which he’ll go to any lengths – including looking after his boss’s wild teenage daughter, Scarlett. When MacNamara learns that Scarlett has married a communist named Otto – whose anti-capitalist beliefs fiercely contradict her father’s – he realises his own aspirations are on the line.
Watch this 1961 farcical drama by director Billy Wilder this month at Cinema Akil, Alserkal Avenue’s resident art house theatre. Tickets to the show are available online and onsite.
