Do you know how Climate Change will impact you, your community and the things you love?
Are you wanting to understand the difference between climate mitigation and adaptation?
If you're curious about how we can prepare and adapt for changes in our climate as a community, you can join our group of Climate Ready Champions.
The Climate Ready Communities training will help you understand how the things we love may be affected by our changing climate, and explore what we can do to take action!
The training will include:
- Interactive activities and discussions about being climate ready
- Local information about climate change projections for eastern and central Adelaide
- Guest speakers including members from local community groups, businesses, and/or council
- Practical guidance to deliver activities, and talk about climate readiness, in your community
After the training, it is expected that you will help spread the climate ready message to your networks and community. We will explore how to engage and support others during the training.
If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to contact Cristel Chambers, Community Climate Adaptation Project Officer at
This project is supported by the Resilient South Project - A partnership between The Cities of Holdfast Bay, Marion, Mitcham, and Onkaparinga. The training is currently open to those who work, live, or are involved in these areas.
