Save the Date for the Melbourne Metro Workshop event on the Closing the Gap and the Victorian Aboriginal Affairs Framework (VAAF) refresh – Wednesday 20 June 2018, 10:00am-1pm, Mantra Bell City, Preston
The national Closing the Gap agenda and the VAAF are being refreshed in 2018. These are important documents - they tell government what matters to the Aboriginal community, guide policy and funding, and inform how government will be held accountable for outcomes in Aboriginal affairs.
At the Statewide Discussion event in January 2018 and throughout our regional engagements across Victoria, we have been listening to feedback from community and taking this on board in developing a Concept Draft for the new VAAF.
Once the first round of regional engagement has been completed we will circulate a copy of the Concept Draft via email, at least 1 week before the event. The Concept Draft will explain the logic behind our proposed new approach, and seek your views on the structure, measures and targets in the new VAAF.
We hope you can come along to the Melbourne Metro Workshop event to have your say on the Concept Draft. Please share with your networks, colleagues, friends and family.
If you require travel assistance, or have any special requirements, please let us know so we can support you to join us.
