The colour of earth
Part of Peaks 2019,
the colour of earth is a photo series that explores the distinct identities of women of colour in WA and their experiences; what it means to exist in this world as a woman and non-white, and a celebration of our differences and growth in a world that threatens to stem it, a world that would rather people like us not exist, let alone thrive.
This event is free.
the colour of earth is proudly sponsored by Healthway, promoting the Drug Aware message and Propel Youth Arts WA
Tasha is a creative portrait and fashion photographer based in Perth, after relocating from Malaysia in 2014 where she was born and bred. She aims to create images that are raw and reflective of connection, and has collaborated with local brands, creatives, and magazines. She is also interested in the intersections of art and activism, entwining her passion for social issues with photography.
We acknowledge that this event will be held on the land of the Whadjuk Noongar people and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
