Major Research Findings – Creating a Workforce Which Welcomes Diversity

Recent events have shown how important it is for organisations to create a safe and inclusive workplace free of discriminatory and disrespectful behaviour.

SACS, the Scanlon Foundation and Deakin University has partnered in two major studies of how to create a workforce which welcomes diversity and thereby minimizes the risk of evils such as bullying and harassment.

In this free business breakfast we will answer the following fascinating questions:

  • How do you recruit people who are welcoming of diversity? What are the signs of tolerance and intolerance?
  • How do you assess the “Diversity Climate” of an organization – ie, how tolerant and inclusive an entire workforce is?
  • What is the “business case” for diversity?
  • What organizational characteristics cause people to be tolerant or intolerant?
  • What can leaders do to increase the levels of tolerance and inclusiveness of their workplace?

Presenters are Andrew Marty, Managing Director of SACS, Anthea Hancocks, CEO of the Scanlon Foundation and Jeromy Anglim, Lecturer from the School of Psychology at Deakin University.

This will be a practical and engaging presentation which will help you improve the productivity and positivity of your workforce. Join us for an opportunity to network with senior colleagues.
