Most of the applications are architected around RestAPIs these days, be it for layering or for integration. More and more organisations and service providers are switching their services to this approach and RESTful is definitely a buzzword you hear in almost all job descriptions.
REST (Representational State Transfer) is an architectural style, that facilitates communication over the web, between several clients and servers.
This presentation aims to showcase REST APIs under the hood, by looking over some practical real-life examples and some of the constraints necessary for an application to be considered RESTful.
The presentation covers:
- What are REST APIs and how do they differ from other APIs
- How to create, read, update and delete ReST APIs
- Design decisions for scalability and constraints
- Example using swagger
In the second part of the event, it will be open space.
“Open Space” is a technique for running meetings where the participants create and manage the agenda themselves.
You can bring your own ideas that you would like to discuss with other participants.
