Diabetes Contraception and Pre-Pregnancy Workshop – Grant Preparation.

This workshop will bring together clinicians, consumers and health service managers to develop a NSW Translational Research Grants Scheme proposal to implement and evaluate an integrated contraception and pre-pregnancy management approach for women with pre-existing diabetes across multiple districts in New South Wales.

Key questions that will be mapped out in the workshop

How can we optimise uptake of pre-pregnancy and contraception programmes among people with known diabetes-taking into account the multi-ethnic cultural, socioeconomic and geographical diversity?

What are the drivers and barriers of a pre-pregnancy and contraception programme among people with known diabetes beyond a single health district?
