The Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens, situated west of Johannesburg in Roodepoort, is the backdrop for the Denim Walk by Night fundraiser, taking place on Saturday 29 February from 16:00.
This year the theme for Rare Disease Day is “Reframe Rare” and we would love the public to help us light up the night by wearing their denims and funkiest neon gear. Bring your headlamps and torches and head down one of two routes – The 1.5km route is wheelchair friendly or there is a 2.5km route for the more enthusiastic. Included in your ticket is access to our GLOW BAR, with everything from glowsticks, to hairspray and face paint to help you get your glow on!
Little Field Mouse Market will be running a moonlight market alongside the Denim Walk by Night, offering a host of food and craft vendors, so bring your picnic blankets and deck chairs, and join us for a night under the stars.
Tickets are available from Quicket at a cost of R100 for adults, R65 for teens and pensioners, and R50 for children under 12. Entrance is free for kids under the age of two. All proceeds go to Rare Diseases South Africa NPC.
