March 2020 - Gallery Exhibition Opening
Come along to the gallery exibition opening for our featured artist for March, Glenda Bowen. Glenda will be discussing her art and her travels as well as available to answer questions.
Glenda's history of traditional art studies began in Victoria; where she earned a Diploma in Fine Arts. Her journey progressed to Adelaide where she earned a B.A., leading to five years in Salzburg. During this time, Glenda completed two masters classes at Salzburg Summer Art Festvals studying 'stage design' and 'lithography'. This experience inspired solo exhibitions with theatrical themes at the Adelaide Festival Theatre titled 'Playing the Moment'.
After returning to Adelaide, Glenda studied digital technology with the Central School of Art and produced solar plate prints. Her 2020 digital prints have a poster-style influence, often interpreting social issues. Glenda's work has exhibited regularly in solo and group or community exhibitions, including with SALA.
