What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
If you're catching public transport the 199 bus stops just across the road & slightly up Boundary St, if you're coming from the City/Cultural Centre hop off before Vulture St, then cross the road & head back towards the city till you see our sign. We're right next to the West End Bakery.
Driving? Street parking is available in surrounding streets, there is free parking after 5pm but there are also sections which are paid up until 7pm, so please check the street parking signs. We suggest Boundary St, Jane St, Thomas St, Russel St, O'Connell St or Vulture St. There's also two hours free parking at Coles West End if you're shopping there as well.
This lesson is in our Studio 1 at 163 Boundary St, West End.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
You can call us on 3844 1824 from 3:30pm Mon - Thurs or 5pm Fri, or call earlier and leave us a message. Or email us to email@example.com. Alternatively, you can message us via Facebook.
What should I wear?
The main thing is that you're comfortable, and it's totally ok if you're coming straight form work. So long as you have fairly good freedom of movement in your clothes you don't need special or specific dance clothes. You'll find people in their office work gear, to casual jeans and a tee or tights and everything in between.
Do I need special dance shoes?
Not to get started! We recommend leather soled or very hard rubber soled shoes to allow you to pivot easily an without putting pressure on your ankle and knee joints. Also that your shoes are strap on or lace up, not slingback or slip on. It's important that your feet are supported. Heels are fine ladies if you're comfortable in heels, however not necessary.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! Please register yourself for two or ask them to register also so we know to expect them as our classes tend to fill up and we don't want your friend to miss out on the day.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you can simply bring your registration on your smartphone. We will also have a list with your name once you're registered so you can simply check yourself in on arrival.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes, absolutely. Please simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes, no problem, please just let us know when you arrive/or ask the person you're registering for to let us know what name they were registered under.
