• Established arts practitioners with some fundraising knowledge.

• How to make your organisation fundraising-ready;
• Developing a fundraising plan;
• Building a case for support.

A networking lunch with your peers will be provided.

This is a chance to network with your peers and meet our Creative Partnerships State Manager, Paul Gurney, who will provide local perspective, case studies and insights on how to implement what you’ve learned.

Paul Gurney

With extensive experience leading small to medium arts organisations, Paul brings first-hand knowledge and a passion for attracting support for unconventional and experimental artistic projects, and for establishing responsive and effective governance and organisational structures.

Since graduating with a degree in arts management from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Paul has held leadership and board roles with numerous arts organisations including Next Wave, Open House Melbourne, Freeplay: Independent Games Festival and the Arts Industry Council of Victoria.

Through these roles Paul has attracted substantial financial and in-kind support for a diverse range of artistic projects through strategies across business development, philanthropic relationships and private partnerships.

Paul has most recently overseen support for more than 120 Queensland-based cultural and creative organisations as a Senior Manager with Brisbane City Council.
