High-quality expert seminar for Engineering and MEP Consultants, Investors and Planners in the UAE

How to reduce the Energy Bill in the Food Cold Chain

Special guest: Mr John Austin-Davies - Marketing Project Manager, EPTA S.p.A., Italy

Speaker

‘HVACR Leadership Workshops’ is a seminar series by Eurovent Middle East, tailor-made for engineering and MEP consultants, investors and planners in the UAE, with the core aim of informing them about standards and industry recommendations in the field of ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. The non-commercial, free-of-charge seminars are spread across multiple workshops.

In this ‘HVACR Leadership Workshop’ by Eurovent Middle East, leading industry experts will elaborate on key technologies and strategies to reduce energy consumption in the food cold chain. In a region such as the GCC where most fresh food items are imported, it is of vital importance to ensure that the food cold chain remains uncompromised in a sustainable, cost-effective manner to the benefit of both stakeholders and consumers.

We are particularly honoured to welcome Mr John Austin-Davies (EPTA S.p.A., Italy) as a Special Guest. As a distinguished expert in the refrigeration sector and having received many accolades for his dedication to topics such as natural refrigerants and carbon reduction, Mr Austin-Davies is going to elaborate on energy efficient refrigeration technologies.

Seminar topics further include:

  • Food Retail Stores: A Focus on Energy Efficient Refrigeration
  • How Air Curtains can be used to reduce thermal energy losses in the retail sector
  • Energy Savings through the Enterprise Management Platform
  • Doing More with Less: Smart Stores and Energy Efficiency
  • Case Studies on Air Conditioning and Refrigeration for Retrofits in the Retail Sector

The individual topics will be followed by a feedback session and discussion, where participants are invited to discuss any issues related to energy savings within the retail sector. This includes, for instance:

  • CO2 and Ammonia as alternative refrigerants
  • Frequently faced challenges and solutions in the food cold chain
  • Current trends in food cold chain technologies and innovations moving forward
