About this Event IIMPACT Workshop Tuesday 18 February 2020, 2-5pm Engaging with research linking evidence with practice: hollow words or achievable actions? Facilitated by Assoc Prof Saravana Kumar. Using a combination of lecture presentation and small group work, this workshop will present an overview of how allied health professionals can effectively and efficiently engage with research evidence for use in clinical practice. This session will provide participants with the practical “know-how” on issues to consider and strategies to implement when engaging with evidence. The workshop will also answer some commonly encountered vexing questions. For example: I have to write a business case for my service and want to use research evidence to support my case. Which research should I use to strengthen my case? It is my turn to lead journal club next week but have been swamped with clinical work. Where can I find high quality research evidence that I can use? The workshop will showcase simple-to-use, practical tips that can be used in routine allied health settings.
