For the first time, this successful global model is coming to Australia and will get started with an Immersion Workshop on 22-23 January. Then Maths Teacher Circles are for you! In this two-day workshop you will: dive into thought-provoking maths discuss strategies and routines that can shape your practice meet like-minded educators and mathematical thinkers learn about Maths Teacher Circles and what's happening in 2020. Our schedule for each day will begin at 9.00am and go through to 4.00pm, during which time we will investigate interesting maths problems and discuss their implications for classroom practice. Sessions will feature a range of presenters, including mathematician Norm Do, known for his deep knowledge and passion for maths. Registration fee for this event covers food and beverages to keep you nourished for the two days, and take-home resources to help with making implementation of what you learn easy.
