Covering the basic concepts of Mobile App Games through fun and easy to learn tasks. This course will have them making their first Platformer Game in no time. Starting with the basics of game design and game styles, kids will create a game with all the general features and multiple levels.
For those who want to continue to extend their skills further. Through the creation of a top down maze game, this course will help them develop a deeper understanding of Mobile App Games. Building on their previous knowledge, we dive in to more complex game designs and learn about new game features, more complex coding and creating their own characters.
The 3rd part of our Introduction to Mobile App Games, this course is designed for kids who have completed the previous 2 parts of this course. Here they will have the opportunity to learn more detailed features of Game Design and apply what they have learnt through the creation of an top down shooter style game.
Using all the skills developed over the last 3 levels, this course is designed to showcase what they have learnt. Here they will have the opportunity to learn about and make their own RPG style game.
RPG part 2 – Continuing on with the game they have developed in Level 4, here we focus on the story-line of the game and introduce the use of algorithms to assist with planning and designing their own RPG.
The final part of the “Intro to Mobile App Games” course, here they will learn about designing a game for a mobile device, how to incorporate mobile game controls and designing a game of their very own creation. Using the knowledge gained over the last 5 levels, here we cover the details of planning their very own game for mobile devices before going through and building it. A great way in which to wrap up and display what they have learnt so far.
