This workshop will introduce attendees to Galaxy Australia and its use in RNA-seq and differential gene expression (using bacterial data). A talk and demonstration will be followed by a hands-on tutorial.
The workshop has been organised by the Biosciences Data Enhanced Virtual Lab (DeVL) Galaxy Australia project and EMBL-ABR and will be led by Dr Anna Syme from Melbourne Bioinformatics, who is coordinating training for Galaxy Australia. Anna will lead the workshop from Melbourne, with trained facilitators on hand at venues across Australia to assist participants locally.
Researchers and students with an interest in RNA-seq and differential gene expression.
Knowledge of basic biology is assumed.
By the end of this training, participants will be able to use tools in Galaxy Australia to investigate differential gene expression from bacterial RNA-seq data.
