Karrinyup Book Club - September

Karrinyup Book Club will be back on the third Wednesday of September and we'll be discussing "The Need" by Helen Phillips.

We hope you're all well! Our next Karrinyup Book Club will be on Wednesday night, 18 September, 2019 in our little bookshop after-hours from 5.45pm till 7.30pm. Our next Book Club Read we'll be discussing is "The Need" by Helen Phillips,

Molly, a paleo-botanist, mother of two and possibly insane, has just stumbled upon a mystery so dangerous that she can feel her mind breaking.

It started at work. In "The Pit" - a dig site that contained dozens of vibrantly new plant species perfectly preserved in rock.

But then the footsteps come again and she catches a glimpse of movement.

Suddenly Molly finds herself face-to-face with an intruder who knows far too much about her and her family. As she attempts to protect those she loves most, Molly must also confront her own frailty. In "The Need," Helen Phillips has created a subversive, speculative thriller that comes to life through blazing, arresting prose and gorgeous, haunting imagery.
