Timucua presents the world premiere of David Bjella and Hannah Suns program of Beethoven and Rachmaninoff sonatas. Both massive works, this is a very intense program of romantic music that will leave you breathless.
David Bjella is a professor of cello at the University of Central Florida School of Performing Arts in Orlando. Professor Bjella is one of the featured IRIS musicians for the Naxos-released CD, Music of Stephen Hartke, which was chosen by the New York Times as a Top Ten Classical Recording.
Australian-American pianist Hannah Sun is a soloist, chamber musician, teacher, and composer, connecting with diverse audiences through interdisciplinary forms. She is currently Adjunct Professor at Stetson University, teaching Functional Keyboard and Applied Piano.
