In this Chinese Brush Painting course, participants will develop an appreciation of Chinese culture and art, and get to experience this traditional and unique expression of creativity through the various techniques of applying Chinese ink on rice paper.

Dates: Aug 19, 26, Sep 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Oct 7, 14, 21
10 Sessions (Mon)

Time: 1pm - 3pm
Course Fee: $340 ($68 for eligible seniors*) 
Material Fee Included

(Minimum 10 students to start class)

1. Chinese Brushes x 2
2. Chinese Ink stick and Ink Stone
3. Chinese Rice papers
4. Chinese Paint Set 12 colours
5. Colour Palette and Water container


About The Instructor 

Paul Lee Mr Lee Thiam Seng (Paul) is a Singapore-born artist, art therapist, and consultant. He is the founder of UniqArts and Technologies. Mr Lee holds a Master in Arts-Art Therapy with LASALLE College of the Arts, and a Bachelor of Management Degree with Royal Melbourne Institute of Technologies. He is also trained in fine arts at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). Mr Lee is the creator of the virtual art classroom www.onlineartclass.com and author of the children’s book - Drawing is Easy. Mr Lee has facilitated many creative art projects for therapeutic and developmental purposes, both for children and adults. He has experience running individual and group art therapy treatment for children and adults in schools and hospitals. Mr Lee conducted a research at KKH with Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval for his Master’s thesis: "Art Therapy as a Modality of Healing in Stages - For Women with Breast Cancer." Furthermore, Mr. Lee led many UniqArts Creative Therapies and some of the corporate clients include Chevron, Cherie Hearts Kindergarten, Faber Castell, Health Promotion Board, National Library Board, Singapore Police Force, Singapore Prison, Schools, Feiyue, PCF, SBS Transit, NTUC, OAG, Sony, SAP, TOUCH Community, United Square and Unilever.

Registration Process:
- If you wish to use your SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) towards this course, please first register and pay a deposit online on Brahm Centre’s Eventbrite page. You will receive an Eventbrite Order Confirmation PDF, which you can then use to upload on the SFC website to make your claim submission. Your course deposit will be returned to your credit card (online payment) or by cheque (cash/nets payment) when Brahm Centre receives the funds from SFC, subject to the amount successfully claimed.
- You should expect to receive your refund by the 3rd week from the course start date.



^ SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) Use: 

- Log in to the SkillsFuture website http://www.skillsfuture.sg/credit to submit your claim using your Singpass, and upload the Eventbrite Order Confirmation PDF as supporting document. You may submit your claim up to 60 days before start of course till day of course commencement.

* National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy
- The NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.
- Arrive 30 minutes before class starts to complete the application process.
- Sighting of NRIC is required on the first day of class for verification
- Participants who do not fulfill the above criteria will not be eligible for NSA funding and will be required to pay the course fee in full; no refunds will be provided.
