Medication Administration: A Guide for Unregulated Healthcare Providers
This workshop includes a textbook and in-class demonstrations.
Personal Support Workers (PSWs), other unregulated healthcare
providers (UCPs) and family caregivers in various community
settings may assist with the delegated tasks of administering,
receiving, dispensing and storing of oral, sublingual, topical, rectal,
inhalation medications and subcutaneous injections. PSWs, UCPs
and family caregivers may assist and ensure that their clients and
family members are taking their medications as prescribed by their
health care professionals in order to maintain their clients' safety,
care, welfare and security. Medication Administration: A Guide for
Unregulated Healthcare Providers will enhance medication safety in
the community. This guide will cover the following three modules:

Module 2: Medication Administration Techniques in the Community
Module 3: Insulin Administration and Diabetes Management in the
Community
