The course looks at helping adults who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a mental health crisis or experiencing a worsening of a current mental illness.
Research through Mental Health First Aid Australia shows that the course increases knowledge, confidence, and helping behaviours, whilst at the same time reducing stigma.
Please note that the Standard 12 hour Mental Health First Aid course has been broken down into 4 modules (3 hours each) and participants need to ensure that they can attend ALL sessions if they wish to become Accredited in Mental Health First Aid.
Accreditation lasts 3 years.
The 12-hour Standard MHFA course has been endorsed for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points by several professional bodies.
