Come and visit the free exhibition at
St Kilda Town Hall
which explores the social history of Montague, a small but distinctive enclave within the former municipality of City of South Melbourne.
Through photographs, archival documents and personal stories, the exhibition tells of the development of Montague from the late 1860s into a close-knit community that survived until the area was demolished in the 1930s. Today the area is being rejuvenated once again as a residential community.
Wednesday 29 January is your last day to visit before this exhibition closes.
