Randwick and Waverley Council are proud to partner with Centennial Parklands in hosting an evening of entertainment and cultural learning in celebration of NAIDOC 2019 - Voice, Treaty, Truth - Let’s work together for a shared future. Join us from 5pm onwards to watch the flying foxes at sunset, experience Aboriginal dance, ceremony and education. There will be a Welcome to Country by Dean Kelly, a fire ceremony, traditional and contemporary dance from the Warada Dancers, a guided tour of the flying foxes and an Aboriginal astronomy talk. 5.00: Event starts and introductions 5.15pm: Smoking ceremony 5.30pm: Welcome to Country 5.45pm: Waradah dancers 6.00pm: Sky Talks and appetisers served
