Northern Practice Managers Network Meeting

For Practice Managers only

Sonder has a long history of building and sustaining workforce development. Sonder has developed a variety of networks which bring together health professionals from general practices of medical specialists. We currently provide support to Practice Managers, Nurses, GPs and Practice Owners.

Through conducting regular meetings, Sonder supports members of the Practice Managers Network by acting on their recommendations, providing strategic advice on all matters relating to running a general practice, and assisting them to find ways to manage patient health through better referrals process and improved use of the MBS scheme.

Topic 1: QI PIP

The new Quality Improvement (QI) incentive under the Practice Incentives Program (PIP) aims to recognise and support those practices that commit to improving the care they provide to their patients. Practices who have registered to participate in the QI PIP will be involved in a continuous quality improvement activity and this will be targeted at their patient cohort to deliver best practice care. 

Topic 2: Inca - Integrated Care Platform

Inca is short for integrated care, the core of the platform. The Inca Integrated Care Platform is a comprehensive shared health record and care planning solution that connects patients and their care team to support a multidisciplinary care approach.

Shared care-planning tools facilitate this multidisciplinary approach by enabling the health care team to collaborate seamlessly as they help address the full spectrum of the patient’s needs across all care settings.

Topic 3: How to cut through... with communication

Michael Bambacas of Create Learning is a learning and development specialist who designs and delivers programs to multiple sectors throughout Australia and New Zealand. Michael will provide insights into the fundamental skill we take for granted - communication. He will share on how skilled communication leads to greater productivity and how identifying and adapting to particular behavioural styles can create a team culture and improved client services. Join in on an interesting conversation on the science of communication and how it can work best for you, your practice and your clients.
