Welcome to ACT Wildlife!

This course will provide new members with information on the background to ACT Wildlife as an organisation and explain our main role in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured, sick and orphaned wildlife in the ACT.
The session advises on the roles and responsibilities of members and how you can volunteer in activities such as caring for wildlife at home, ancillary roles such as answering our 24/7 phone, transporting animals, fundraising, woodwork, sewing and more.

Registration will begin at 8.45 am for a 9 am start, and the day will finish around 3.30pm.

Tea and coffee are provided. Please bring a mug, some morning tea to share and your own lunch.  Microwave available.

This course includes $40 membership fee and it is essential to do this training session before you can start to care. Membership allows you to have cheaper course fees, access to newsletters, the advice of our experts in native species care and the commmunity we have built within ACT animal care. You can do all our training in any order, however as stated above you are not covered by our licence until you have participated in this course.
