Broomhall Centre is a thriving, multi-purpose community venue in Broomhall, Sheffield. Background For the last 40 years the Broomhall Centre (formerly the Broomspring Centre) has served the local community as a neutral, affordable space for a wide range of activities. In 2013 the Charity incorporated. Run by a voluntary board of Directors and paid part time manager, the Centre seeks to balance the needs of the community with a sustainable future. Activities There are regular activities every day of the week, something for everyone, from youth clubs, exercise classes, ESOL, Drop In, supplementary schools, and Life drawing. We also have many cultural groups that meet here, some religious groups, and a whole host of performances, both musical and theatrical, as well as community celebrations, private parties, wedding celebrations and charity fundraisers. Broomhall Centre is a thriving community venue in Broomhall, Sheffield. The centre aims to provide a space for local community members to organise activities and events in response to their social, educational and recreational needs and aspirations. As a welcoming place we also invite people and groups from across the city to take part in our events or to book rooms in this venue. How to find us: We are at the junction of Broomspring Lane and Brunswick Street. Broomspring Lane is the second left turn off the inner ring road between Ecclesall Road and the University roundabouts. You can catch a tram to West Street and walk down (5 mins), or you can catch a bus to the Hallamshire Hospital and walk down Broomspring Lane, or a bus to the end of Ecclesall Road (Waitrose) and walk up the inner ring road (8 mins) or in a car you can drive down Wilkinson Street from the Hallamshire Hospital and turn right onto Brunswick Street. On foot you can walk easily from town, along Division Street, cross Devonshire Green and take the road past Springfield School, cross the ring road and up past the Jesus Centre. We are open on Monday and Friday between 12-5pm for walk-in bookings and inquiries, although we can make appointments out of these times.
