WOLF Sanctuary
Laporte, CO, United States
W.O.L.F. is a non-profit Sanctuary dedicated to improving the quality of life for captive born wolves & wolf dogs through rescue, sanctuary and education. Frequently Asked Questions: Is W.O.L.F. open to the public? Unfortunately no. We are a private facility and at this time do not have the resources to be open to the public or give tours. Does W.O.L.F. breed? No, we do not feel wolves should be bred with dogs or kept in captivity. Once they are however, they deserve a decent life and that is what we try to do for them at our facility. Does W.O.L.F. adopt/sell any of the animals you rescue? No. Once we take an animal we commit to that individual for the remainder of their natural life. Does W.O.L.F. release the wolves you rescue back into the wild? No. The animals we take in have all been bred in captivity and do not have the knowledge they would need to survive in the wild. We also rescue wolf dogs and it would be ecologically inappropriate to release them into wild populations. There is a wolf/wolf dog that needs rescuing, what do I do? Please send as much information (age, sex, temperament, medical history, etc.) as you have along with good face and body photos to rescue@wolfsanctuary.net W.O.L.F. (Wolves Offered Life & Friendship) is a 501(c)3 non-profit sanctuary located in the foothills of Northern Colorado. Founded in 1995, W.O.L.F. networks with rescues and sanctuaries across the country to help save captive born wolves and wolf dogs that are unable to be cared for appropriately by their original owners. At our facility the Sanctuary provides life-long, quality care for up to 30 wolves and wolf dogs at any given time in large, natural habitat enclosures. W.O.L.F. is also dedicated to educating the public about the issues with keeping wolves (and other wild animals) in captivity as pets and promoting a better understanding of the value of wild wolves in the environment.
