PIPER Paediatric Seminar - 'Situation Critical'

 What: 

This session is aimed at those working in acute paediatrics and who want an update on current practise to care for unstable children in their department. It may suit nurse educators nursing leads, senior clinicians in acute care areas. We hope you will come away from it with ideas around how to improve care for children in your department

 Topics include:

• Emergency airway management: reducing adverse events
• Advanced fluid management: how much is too much
• Still seizing
• Sepsis 101
• Ventilation

 Skills stations include:

• Intercostal catheder insertion
• Intraosseus insertion
• Preparation for intubation
• Clinical scenarios 

 Cost:  Full day (Lunch included)

Medical- Consultants/ GPs - $310

 Lectures only:  0830 – 1230

Cost: (Half day)

Registration

Registration will be at 8.00am onwards to allow a 8.30am start.

No beverages ( except water) permitted in the Ella Latham Auditorium.
